Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs focused on health equity and community resilience
- Manage program budgets exceeding $500K and secure grants from federal/state agencies
- Lead cross-functional teams of epidemiologists, community health workers, and data analysts
- Develop data-driven strategies using public health metrics and community needs assessments
- Forge partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profit organizations
- Present program outcomes to County leadership and public stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with CA Department of Public Health regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of program management experience in government/public health setting
- Proven success securing and managing public health grants (>$250K)
- Expertise in health equity frameworks and culturally responsive programming
- Advanced data analysis skills (SPSS, R, or SAS) with health data visualization experience
- CA Public Health Certification or eligible within 6 months
- Strong knowledge of Title X, Medi-Cal, and CMS program requirements
- Experience leading community health initiatives in diverse urban environments
