Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide public health strategies targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Lead cross-functional teams in coordinating emergency response initiatives and pandemic preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and resource allocation needs
- Forge partnerships with community organizations to deliver culturally competent health education programs
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations and reporting requirements
- Oversee program evaluation frameworks to measure impact and drive continuous improvement
- Represent Milwaukee County in regional health coalitions and policy development forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field with 5+ years program management experience
- Valid Wisconsin Public Health Certification (CPH) or eligibility within 6 months
- Expertise in health data analysis using tools like SAS, SPSS, or R
- Proven track record in grant writing and managing budgets over $500K
- Experience developing community health interventions for diverse populations
- Strong project management skills with familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement and public presentations
