Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and surveillance for reportable diseases
- Coordinate community health education initiatives and outreach campaigns
- Analyze health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and grant applications for public health funding
- Respond to public health emergencies and coordinate response protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficient in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience with community coalition building and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
