Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Monitor and report on communicable disease trends using surveillance systems
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses with local healthcare providers
- Analyze health data to identify emerging public health threats
- Partner with community leaders to address health disparities
- Provide technical assistance to local health departments
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of public health program experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Experience with community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
