Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health assessment programs targeting Memphis' underserved neighborhoods
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify disease trends and inform intervention strategies
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers to ensure seamless public health service delivery
- Lead health education campaigns on chronic disease prevention and maternal/child health
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on health equity initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and state health authorities
- Train community health workers on evidence-based outreach methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in governmental public health roles
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with health program evaluation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of TN public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with reliable transportation
