Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting community health disparities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging health threats
- Coordinate with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies on health initiatives
- Design and deliver culturally responsive health education campaigns and outreach materials
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare comprehensive reports for leadership and funding bodies
- Stay current with public health regulations, trends, and best practices
- Represent the department at community events and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field (Bachelor's with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public health program implementation or community health
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in health informatics tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Milwaukee's public health landscape and health equity principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation for fieldwork
