Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and data analysis to identify health trends
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote health education and access
- Monitor compliance with federal/state public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Lead interagency initiatives addressing social determinants of health
- Prepare grant proposals and manage program budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Experience with emergency preparedness planning
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
