Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Coordinate inter-agency initiatives to address social determinants of health
- Develop educational materials and training for community health workers
- Monitor program outcomes and prepare compliance reports for funding agencies
- Represent the department in public health coalitions and stakeholder meetings
- Leverage data visualization tools to communicate health insights effectively
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in community health program implementation
- Proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS for statistical analysis
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Experience with grant writing and federal compliance requirements
- Certification in Health Education Specialist (CHES) or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultural communities
- Knowledge of NYC public health landscape and regulations
