Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with local healthcare providers and non-profit partners
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead crisis response activities during public health emergencies
- Train healthcare professionals on public health protocols and best practices
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and state health agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in municipal or county public health programs
- Valid California Public Health Microbiologist certification
- Proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis of health data
- Demonstrated experience with CDC grant management systems
- California driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish required
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
