Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health education
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify community needs
- Develop partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Prepare grant proposals and manage public health budgets
- Provide health emergency response coordination during public health crises
- Deliver health education workshops and community outreach events
- Monitor compliance with state and federal public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Virginia Public Health Practitioner certification
- Advanced proficiency in epidemiological data analysis tools
- Proven grant writing and budget management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to work during public health emergencies and irregular hours
- Knowledge of Healthy People 2030 objectives and CDC guidelines
