Responsibilities
- Develop and execute evidence-based public health initiatives targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct community needs assessments and epidemiological data analysis
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to coordinate health services
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Design and deliver health education programs for diverse populations
- Monitor health trends and prepare comprehensive impact reports
- Represent the department in public health coalitions and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Tennessee Public Health Practitioner certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing and management
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and public health frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
