Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and report findings to state authorities
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to promote health equity
- Manage immunization outreach campaigns and vaccination distribution sites
- Prepare and submit grant proposals for federal and state funding opportunities
- Analyze public health data to identify emerging health trends and recommend interventions
- Train community health workers on best practices for health education
- Participate in emergency response planning for natural disasters and health crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willing to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in SPSS, R, or similar statistical analysis software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and public health reporting requirements
- Experience with grant writing and federal funding processes
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
