Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health intervention programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate with community organizations and healthcare providers to deliver health education
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and public health leadership
- Lead emergency response coordination during public health crises
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate inter-departmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal compliance
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting standards
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
