Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform strategic interventions
- Coordinate cross-sector partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Design and deliver culturally competent health education workshops and outreach campaigns
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public officials and community stakeholders
- Lead emergency response activities during public health crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or Bachelor's with 5+ years relevant experience)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program implementation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement and health literacy principles
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
