Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health education campaigns targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis for disease prevention
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Develop partnerships with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Provide technical assistance to local health departments and community partners
- Prepare detailed reports on health outcomes and program effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Public Health Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R, or similar)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience working with diverse populations in border communities
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
