Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis to identify emerging health trends
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health crises
- Manage community outreach programs promoting vaccination and wellness initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county leadership
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve access to preventive care services
- Secure and administer federal/state public health grants
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in government or non-profit public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated experience with emergency preparedness protocols
- Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive health data
- Strong grant writing and budget management experience
