Responsibilities
- Design and execute community health intervention programs targeting priority populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and disparities
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits for outreach initiatives
- Develop educational materials on public health topics including vaccination and disease prevention
- Monitor program effectiveness and prepare compliance reports for federal/state agencies
- Represent the department at community events and stakeholder meetings
- Stay current with public health policies and regulations affecting Milwaukee
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Experience developing culturally competent health education materials
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
