Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic interventions
- Collaborate with community stakeholders and healthcare providers to deliver health education initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for state health leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead crisis response activities during public health emergencies
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-departmental health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal grant management
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with policy development experience
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
