Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health education campaigns targeting coastal community needs
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and risks
- Coordinate emergency preparedness initiatives for natural disasters and public health threats
- Partner with local healthcare providers and community organizations for outreach
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets for health initiatives
- Conduct health assessments and prepare compliance reports for state regulations
- Lead community health improvement planning sessions with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS/R
- Virginia state residency required at time of hire
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Experience with emergency response protocols and grant management
- Excellent communication skills for diverse community engagement
- Valid Virginia driver's license
