Responsibilities
- Research and analyze state legislation, regulations, and emerging policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for legislative committees
- Coordinate inter-agency projects and stakeholder engagement across 15+ departments
- Present findings to legislative bodies and executive leadership
- Monitor budget allocations and fiscal impacts of proposed policies
- Lead crisis response initiatives for urgent state matters
- Maintain compliance with Missouri Sunshine Law requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Expert knowledge of Missouri legislative processes and regulations
- Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong writing skills with published policy documents
- Active Missouri security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
