Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health interventions targeting chronic disease prevention and health education
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize resource allocation
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with local organizations and healthcare providers
- Develop grant proposals and manage program budgets to secure sustainable funding
- Lead crisis response efforts for public health emergencies and communicable disease outbreaks
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for department leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement and cultural competency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Knowledge of Maryland public health regulations and reporting requirements
