Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide health education campaigns targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data trends
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Manage community health outreach programs and grant-funded initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve access to preventive services
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
- Train frontline healthcare workers on updated public health protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Texas Department of State Health Services certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent cross-cultural communication abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with Epi-Info or similar public health databases
