Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health risks and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with healthcare providers and non-profit partners
- Prepare comprehensive health impact assessments for proposed county projects
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state public health funding
- Train frontline staff on emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Compile monthly performance metrics and quarterly progress reports for senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government/public health program management
- Valid Nevada Public Health Practitioner certification (or eligible within 6 months)
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS, SAS, or R for statistical analysis
- Demonstrated success in securing federal health grants (SAM.gov experience required)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and health data privacy regulations
- Experience developing culturally competent health education materials
- Valid Nevada driver's license and reliable transportation
