Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health assessment plans to identify local health priorities and disparities
- Coordinate disease surveillance systems and outbreak response protocols for public health emergencies
- Design and deliver targeted health education programs for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Build strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation and evaluation
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Knowledge of California public health regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with community engagement strategies in diverse urban settings
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to multiple sites
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
