Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health outreach programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health crisis communications
- Manage grant applications and compliance for health department initiatives
- Conduct health education workshops and training sessions for community partners
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve vaccination and disease surveillance
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and state health department stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Knowledge of Virginia public health regulations and policies
