Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health assessment plans for Detroit neighborhoods
- Coordinate disease prevention initiatives and public health emergency responses
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform interventions
- Build partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Manage health education campaigns targeting underserved populations
- Prepare grant proposals and reports for public health funding opportunities
- Monitor compliance with state and federal health regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in community health program implementation
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Strong understanding of social determinants of health
- Experience developing culturally competent health education materials
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation highly desirable
