Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health intervention programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize resource allocation
- Collaborate with community leaders and healthcare providers to develop culturally competent outreach strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy recommendations for county leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Train public health staff on emerging health threats and best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Florida Public Health certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proven experience working with diverse populations and community stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with bilingual abilities preferred
- Knowledge of CDC guidelines and Florida Department of Health regulations
