Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting priority community needs
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify trends and risks
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations for health outreach
- Prepare comprehensive grant proposals and manage program budgets
- Lead health education initiatives and public awareness campaigns
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and standards
- Prepare detailed reports for government stakeholders and the public
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Epi Info)
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of Louisiana public health regulations and policies
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
