Responsibilities
- Design and implement community health assessment programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and resource allocation needs
- Develop evidence-based public health policies in alignment with CDC and state guidelines
- Coordinate emergency response initiatives for public health crises
- Lead community outreach campaigns promoting preventive healthcare services
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve access to care for vulnerable communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in SPSS, R, or similar statistical analysis software
- Valid Michigan Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Demonstrated experience with health equity initiatives in urban settings
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
