Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs for diverse populations
- Analyze health data to identify trends and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate with community partners and healthcare providers to address health disparities
- Manage grant-funded public health initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations
- Prepare detailed reports for county leadership and public health board meetings
- Respond to public health inquiries and provide expert guidance during crises
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health experience with government or non-profit agencies
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS
- Experience with emergency preparedness and crisis response protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
