Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate cross-agency partnerships for community health initiatives
- Lead crisis response efforts during public health emergencies
- Conduct community outreach and education campaigns on preventive health measures
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health advisory boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Texas Department of State Health Services certification
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience managing federal/state grants and budgets
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and local health ordinances
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with bilingual capabilities preferred
