Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health promotion campaigns targeting Jacksonville's diverse communities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and outbreak investigations for communicable diseases
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses with local healthcare providers and emergency management agencies
- Analyze public health data to identify trends and recommend policy improvements
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Train healthcare professionals and community leaders on public health best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Experience with data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Strong knowledge of Florida's public health laws and regulations
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse community engagement
- Valid Florida driver's license
