Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis for disease prevention
- Coordinate with community organizations and healthcare providers on health initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with public health regulations
- Lead public health emergency preparedness and response planning
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for county leadership
- Train staff and community partners on public health best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Valid Michigan Public Health License (MPHL) or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R) and data visualization tools
- Strong grant writing and project management experience
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends for community events
