Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and data analysis for disease prevention
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community organizations for health initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead public health emergency response planning and execution
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county commissioners and public stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health experience in government or non-profit setting
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Texas Health Code
- Experience managing public health grants and budgets
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
