Responsibilities
- Develop and execute evidence-based public health intervention strategies targeting high-priority community needs
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends, assess risks, and inform policy recommendations
- Coordinate multi-agency response efforts during public health emergencies and outbreaks
- Conduct community health assessments and stakeholder engagement to ensure program alignment with local needs
- Manage grant-funded projects including budget oversight, reporting, and compliance
- Lead health education initiatives through workshops, digital campaigns, and public speaking
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local public health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field with 3+ years of experience
- Proven track record in program development and evaluation for community health initiatives
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Experience with grant writing and management of public health funding
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Texas public health regulations and local health systems
- Ability to work collaboratively across governmental and non-profit sectors
