Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and outbreak investigations
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses with local healthcare partners
- Analyze health data to inform policy recommendations for Parish Council
- Manage community health education campaigns across diverse neighborhoods
- Collaborate with federal/state agencies on grant-funded initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams for health equity initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Valid Louisiana Public Health Practitioner certification
- Advanced proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with emergency management protocols (NIMS/ICS)
- Proven ability to build coalitions with community stakeholders
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for policy advocacy
