Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health education programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and surveillance for reportable diseases
- Coordinate emergency response activities during public health crises
- Analyze community health data to identify trends and prioritize interventions
- Collaborate with community partners to expand access to preventive services
- Prepare comprehensive reports on health outcomes and program effectiveness
- Provide expert guidance to county officials on public health policy development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable
