Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health trends using GIS mapping tools
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for natural disasters and disease outbreaks
- Manage grant funding and ensure compliance with CDC and state health department regulations
- Develop health education materials for multilingual audiences
- Lead community health assessments and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with hospitals, schools, and non-profits on health equity projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit health programs
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficiency in health data analysis software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong grant writing and budget management experience
- Excellent communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
- Knowledge of Louisiana public health statutes and Title VI compliance
