Responsibilities
- Coordinate infectious disease surveillance and outbreak response protocols
- Develop evidence-based public health education campaigns for diverse communities
- Manage grant-funded programs and compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Lead inter-agency emergency preparedness drills and public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Train frontline healthcare workers on updated health protocols
- Collaborate with schools, businesses, and community organizations on health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R, Epi Info)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with emergency management systems (NIMS/ICS)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (highly preferred)
- Ability to work irregular hours during public health emergencies
