Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations and disease surveillance for communicable outbreaks
- Develop and implement public health education campaigns for underserved communities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols with federal and local health agencies
- Analyze health data trends and prepare actionable policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded health initiatives and reporting requirements
- Train frontline healthcare workers on public health protocols
- Represent DC Health in community health forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of public health experience with government or NGO focus
- Valid DC Public Health License or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience with emergency response planning and implementation
- Strong grant writing and program management skills
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
