Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health education programs for diverse populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and disease outbreak investigations
- Collaborate with community partners on health promotion initiatives
- Analyze health data to inform policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded projects and reporting requirements
- Provide emergency preparedness support for public health crises
- Train staff on public health protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public health program experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Experience with data analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and local health regulations
- Excellent communication and community engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across government agencies
- Valid Virginia driver's license
