Responsibilities
- Develop and execute community health intervention programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate emergency preparedness responses
- Conduct community outreach and education sessions on health equity initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and health department leadership
- Lead stakeholder engagement with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and community organizations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health information systems
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health regulations and HIPAA compliance
- Experience with grant writing and federal funding processes (CDC, HRSA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel throughout Bexar County
