Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Analyze complex health datasets using SAS/R to identify trends and risks
- Develop evidence-based intervention strategies for vulnerable populations
- Coordinate multi-agency response plans with CDC, WHO, and local health departments
- Prepare executive reports and policy recommendations for senior leadership
- Train healthcare providers on emerging public health protocols
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets for health surveillance programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health/Epidemiology with 5+ years' experience
- Certified in Applied Epidemiology (CEPH) or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, STATA)
- Experience with GIS mapping for health data visualization
- Proven crisis management during public health emergencies
- Valid California Public Health Investigator license
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and health data privacy regulations
