Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze public health data to identify trends and recommend intervention strategies
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to coordinate response efforts
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for public health policy development
- Manage immunization outreach programs and vaccination initiatives
- Respond to public health inquiries and provide accurate information to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health or healthcare administration
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working with diverse communities and vulnerable populations
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for state government systems
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
