Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs for Dallas County communities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations and disease surveillance activities
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations
- Analyze health data trends and prepare policy recommendations
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Provide public health education and outreach to diverse populations
- Prepare detailed reports for state and federal agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public health or government experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation preferred
- Experience with grant writing and budget management
