Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend health surveillance across DC's 8 wards, monitoring disease outbreaks and environmental health threats
- Lead weekend emergency response teams during public health crises and mass gatherings
- Analyze weekend health data trends and prepare Monday morning briefings for senior leadership
- Coordinate weekend vaccination clinics and community health outreach events
- Collaborate with federal agencies on weekend border health inspections and traveler screenings
- Maintain weekend compliance with HIPAA and DC public health regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in public health or emergency response with weekend shift availability
- DC government security clearance eligibility
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in health data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Valid driver's license with clean record for weekend travel across DC
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Amharic highly desirable
