Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and assess impacts on Seattle communities
- Develop policy briefs and recommendations for city leadership
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies on policy alignment
- Manage public engagement initiatives for policy development
- Monitor budget implications of proposed policies
- Prepare reports for City Council and Mayor's office
- Collaborate with cross-departmental policy teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government sector
- Advanced knowledge of Seattle municipal governance structure
- Proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Experience with public policy advocacy processes
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Valid Washington State driver's license
