Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform municipal policy decisions
- Research and evaluate federal/state regulatory compliance requirements
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for council review
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on community development projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public hearings
- Monitor budget allocations and grant compliance for public programs
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to address policy gaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with public speaking experience
- Knowledge of New Mexico state statutes and local government operations
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid New Mexico driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal compliance
