Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for legislative committeesConduct quantitative/qualitative research using government data systems
- Prepare detailed briefing papers for senior officials
- Coordinate inter-agency task force meetings
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting California
- Present findings at public hearings and stakeholder forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS/R)
- Knowledge of California legislative processes
- Clearances for sensitive government data access
- Professional writing samples required
- Valid California driver's license
- US citizenship or permanent residency
