Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative impacts and draft policy recommendations for city council
- Conduct quantitative research on urban development initiatives
- Collaborate with community stakeholders on public engagement strategiesPrepare comprehensive reports on socioeconomic trends
- Monitor federal/state grant compliance requirements
- Present findings at public hearings and committee meetings
- Coordinate interdepartmental policy implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS/R)
- Strong writing skills with sample policy documents required
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Knowledge of Michigan Sunshine Law requirements
- Experience with public budgeting processes
